| The project involves the research and prototype product development of a no-moving parts, nonturbine wind energy technology for rapid deployment and mobile grid applications. The military has renewable production goals of 25%, and current operating concerns about supplies of the large amounts of fuel required to power conventional generators at forward bases and other installations. This program directly addresses these DoD requirements with development of a new, portable, low visibility, damage tolerant source of wind energy. The Administration has identified development of alternatives to fossil fuels as a critical issue to the Us and this program further leverages taxpayer dollars by developing new renewable energy technology for economic renewal. This project will create up to 50 new direct hires in product development and manufacturing at Accio Energy, and will also help retain high quality manufacturing jobs by sourcing its components from existing manufacturing companies in the US. These will be high quality, highly paid engineering, technician, tool and die making and manufacturing jobs. We expect that jobs will also be created at suppliers of stampings, tubing, roll formed components, etc. |
