Value to Michigan’s 15th Congressional District and the American taxpayer:
A substantial effort is underway in the Navy to incorporate a modern system with the capabilities to properly manage and track existing high value assets, literally saving the DoD, and ultimately the taxpayer, tens of millions annually. The projected return on investment for this initiative is less than one year from the initiation of TAV of items in repair, managing on-hand inventory and in operational use. Funding is not available to successfully meet Navy deployment needs w/o these funds. This project will create work for more than 30 companies supplying logistics and manufacturing jobs. Moreover, Michigan will have four companies doing manufacturing and tool and die work for more than 40 weeks.
