Value to Michigan’s 15th Congressional District and the American taxpayer:
To replace aging desktop equipment with new energy star compliant PCs, reducing the power consumption at the Ann Arbor campus. Replacing the AT&T leased lines with a fiber connection will improve communications between buildings on campus and will enable more timely emergency notifications. Intent is to leverage a storage cloud implemented by Merit Network for the entire higher education community in Michigan.
