Value to Michigan’s 15th Congressional District and the American taxpayer:
Launch an affordable supportive housing program to sustain/build upon the treatment gains of young special needs (mental illness, homelessness, etc.) women leaving Vista Maria's residential care. Two foreclosed homes needing minimal rehabilitation will be purchased in a Dearborn Heights residential neighborhood located off Ann Arbor Trail Rd. The women will receive supportive services, continue education or vocational training, and connections to placement programs to earn a living wage.
