Value to Michigan’s 15th Congressional District and the American taxpayer:
The BioConnections project would: 1) develop a statewide employer-designed training program for bio-manufacturing/processing technicians and competency-based certification; 2) expand existing job placement services via technology improvements, hosting of career fairs, and enhanced outreach, recruitment and screening system; 3) subsidized coop placement with bioscience companies and integration with "Intern in Michigan" program; and 4) replicate and embed program design statewide.
