Value to Michigan’s 15th Congressional District and the American taxpayer:
Repair of approximately 1.4 miles of Goddard Road in Romulus, Michigan. This section of Goddard is currently on the Fiscal Year 2010 Needs List as prepared by the Wayne County Federal Aid Committee. Goddard Road, Romulus's Main Street, is in dire need of improvement to help keep downtown safe and attractive. The existing concrete road surface is deteriorating at an unprecedented rate due to a material flaw. More specifically, all of the concrete joints are failing at some level creating depressions as wide as 2 feet. Romulus has exhausted all repair options and a road reconstruct is the only viable solution to retain the vitality and success of downtown Romulus.
