Value to Michigan’s 15th Congressional District and the American taxpayer:
Funds will be used for the construction of a senior wellness center. Inkster is the only city in the Western Wayne County area that does not have a dedicated senior center. Inkster is a small urban community whose senior residents primarily fall within the low to moderate income range. With limited opportunities, which are essential to the retention of residents, this construction would allow the seniors to remain in their community without having to seek a senior center elsewhere.
