Dingell’s Statement on Passing of Eleanor Josaitus

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative John D. Dingell (D-MI15) issued the following statement on the passing of the remarkable Eleanor Josaitus:

"Eleanor Josaitus was an inspiration to us all and her ever present passion will be missed on the Detroit landscape.  Eleanor was about changing the world one person at a time.  She cofounded Focus: Hope in 1968 and built it into an organization that employs over 500 people and has more 50,000 volunteers.  Eleanor was the embodiment of the civil rights movement and her presence will be sorely missed.  The thoughts and prayers of both Deborah and I are with Eleanor's family at this difficult time. "
