Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman John D. Dingell (D-MI15) issued the following statement today praising Chrysler for completing their payments to government:
“I am delighted Chrysler was able to fully pay off their government loans today. Investing in American autos was the right thing to do and it has paid off - we have a more stable auto manufacturing industry, thus more jobs. I will continue advocating for making it here in America and promoting jobs not only in the auto, but in the manufacturing industry as a whole. We have the most innovative, educated, and committed workers in the world and I intend to continue fighting for policies that ensure they thrive."
