Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman John D. Dingell (D-MI15) sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell urging them to work together with their colleagues to overcome partisan interests and move forward in the nomination process for the next Secretary of Commerce.
“It is unconscionable to have no Secretary of Commerce while the country continues to struggle in growing the economy and creating jobs,” said Dingell. “I call on my friends in the Senate to put aside their parochial interests, proceed with the business of the Senate, and do so with a view toward the public interest, not political showmanship.”
