Washington, DC - Congressman John D. Dingell (D-MI15), made the following remarks today on the naming of Michigan Radio as Public Radio Station of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB):
“I would like to extend my congratulations to Michigan Radio for being named Public Radio Station of the Year. Michigan Radio provides an invaluable service to the people of Michigan’s 15th District, and I am thankful for their exceptional service. Personally, my experiences with Michigan Radio have always been overwhelmingly positive. Their on-air staff have always been courteous and fair, yet tough when they need to be. I enjoy my conversations with their reporters, especially because they ask good, smart questions.
“The Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB) made a great decision in choosing Michigan Radio for this year’s award, and based on its history of broadcast excellence, I am sure Michigan Radio will remain the state’s most listened-to public radio service – and deservedly so.”
