Dingell Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Lansing, MI – On Wednesday, October 10, U.S. Representative John D. Dingell (D-MI15) received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Michigan League for Public Policy (MLPP). The Congressman was presented with this award at the Michigan League for Public Policy’s 100th Anniversary Celebration in Lansing, Michigan. Formerly known as the Michigan League for Human Services (MLHS), the League assists in fostering the economic opportunity, independence, and security of Michigan’s economically vulnerable population. Through a network of over 2,000 organizations, individuals, volunteers, and staff, the league helps shape public policy through objective data-driven research, education, and advocacy.
“Judging from the past 100 years, the Michigan League for Human Services will begin today as the Michigan League for Public Policy, but its mission will remain steadfast. This organization is an important leader which Michigan has come to depend upon. I stand ready and look forward to continuing to work with the Michigan League for Public Policy and other community leaders to meet new challenges facing our great state.”
